Now through March 2 students can submit their original works to the Spirit Lake Review, one of the UW System's premiere literary magazines. Submissions can be fiction, poetry or photographs of artwork (photography, painting, mixed media, sculpture, etc.). March 15: Antigone Reading
Playwright David Mulroy of UW-Milwaukee has written a new adaptation of Sophocles’ classic Greek tragedy, Antigone. University Theatre and the UW-BSC Library will stage a reading of the play Thursday, March 15 at 7 pm in the theatre. The event is free and open to the public, and readers are needed; call Dr. Lauren Love at 355-5238 for more information.
Jan. 23-Mar. 23: Jason Ruhl Exhibit
The Schwalbach Gallery will feature work by Madison-based artist, Jason Ruhl. Jason is a founding member of the artist group No Fun and the co-director of the online gallery Red Rocket. His work has been shown in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, New Delhi, and Berlin, among others. The Schwalbach Gallery is open weekdays from 9 am - 4 pm. All events are free and open to the public.
May 11: Spirit Lake Review Reading
The annual reading of the campus literary magazine, The Spirit Lake Review, will take place Friday, May 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Booksmith downtown Baraboo. It is free and open to the public.
