What Is Wiscard?
Wiscard turns your UW-Baraboo/Sauk County photo ID into a multi-purpose debit card that can be used to purchase food, textbooks, and school supplies at UW-Baraboo/Sauk County. Anyone with a UW-Baraboo/Sauk County photo ID can participate. Simply make a deposit into the account(s) of your choice, and you’re set to go.

The Wiscard Advantage:
l It’s safe. Wiscard is safer than cash! If you lose your ID, you can immediately deactivate your card online. Once your card is inactive, your funds cannot be accessed by anyone else.

  • It’s fast. To make a purchase, just present your UW ID to the cashier. There’s no fumbling with cash, and there’s nothing to sign.
     
  • It’s convenient. All you ever need to carry is your student ID. Plus, you can conveniently manage your account online by making deposits and checking your balance at www.baraboo.uwc.edu/wiscard. Others can also make online deposits to your account without gaining access to your balance or account history, so your privacy is ensured.
     
  • And best of all, it can save you money. With Wiscard, students save on purchases in the campus cafeteria.

Campus Cash Account
If you’re looking for maximum versatility, Campus Cash is the answer. A $10 deposit is all it takes to get you started. Among its many benefits, Campus Cash is:

  • Accepted at the campus cafeteria and bookstore.
  • A smart way to save! Students save 5.5% on food purchases when they use Campus Cash.
  • Our most popular account. You can use Campus Cash at UW-Baraboo/Sauk County for: clothing, computer supplies, textbooks, meals & snacks, course materials, and more
  • A great perk! Campus Cash is also accepted at Memorial Union, Union South—and more than
  • 45 other locations at UW-Madison.

To open a Campus Cash Account, go to the Wiscard website and click “Make a Deposit.”

Cafeteria Meal Account
A Cafeteria Meal Account is the perfect solution to eating on campus and saving money. It is:

  • Accepted at the campus cafeteria.
  • A great deal! Students with a Cafeteria Meal Account save 10.5% on food purchases (faculty & staff save 5%).
  • A terrific complement to a Campus Cash account.

A minimum deposit of $200 per semester or $350 per academic year is required. To open a Cafeteria
Meal Account:
 

  1. Download a Wiscard Account Deposit Form from the Wiscard website (www.baraboo.uwc.edu/wiscard). Forms are also available in the campus Business Office.
     
  2. Submit your Wiscard Account Deposit Form, along with a check payable to “UW-Baraboo/Sauk County,” to:

Q.  Can I apply my excess financial aid to my Wiscard accounts?

A.   Yes! If you have financial aid available after your tuition and fees have been paid, you may request that those funds be deposited into your Campus Cash and/or Cafeteria Meal Account.  A completed voucher must be submitted to the Business Office for approval by the end of the first week of classes.  Vouchers are available in the Business Office and can also be downloaded from the Wiscard website.

Q:  How much money should I put in my Campus Cash account?

A:   The minimum deposit is just $10.  If you plan to purchase textbooks and school supplies with Campus Cash, we recommend an initial deposit of $300.

Q:  How do I know how much money is left in my account(s)?
A:   A receipt from each transaction shows your remaining balance. You can also check your balance online.

Q:  What if I use up all the money in my account?
A:   Additional deposits can be made online at any time. A $10 minimum deposit is required.

Q:  What happens to Campus Cash and Cafeteria Meal Account balances at the end of the semester?
A:   The balance in your Campus Cash account carries forward from semester to semester and may be refunded upon request.  Any money remaining in your Cafeteria Meal Account will be transferred to Campus Cash at the end of the academic year.

Q:  How do I close a Campus Cash account?
A:   Visit the Business Office.  If your balance is greater than $2, a refund check will be issued within three weeks.  Please note:  Wiscard accounts are not redeemable for cash and cannot be used on campus to pay for tuition, parking or library fines, or to add to your paper account.
