Tuition Information
Tuition and fees
Tuition and fees must be paid by the end of the second week of classes. Payments
may be made at the campus Business Office, through the mail, or online at www.uwc.edu/prismhome.
If mailing your payment, please allow adequate time to ensure delivery to the
Business Office by the payment deadline. Please write your student I.D. number
on your check. If you are expecting financial aid and it has not yet arrived,
you must still make arrangements to pay your fees. Making this payment will not
reduce the amount of aid you receive. In a very limited number of cases, your
fee payment can be deferred until your aid arrives. If this is the case, it is
important for you to notify the Business Office.
Credit cards will no longer be accepted at the Business
Office counter as a method of payment. You will, however,
be able to use them when paying tuition online. See your
PRISM account at www.uwc.edu/prismhome for
more information.
Fee Schedule
Tuition for online courses is not
part of the Tuition Plateau, i.e., the tuition for online
courses is in addition to tuition for other courses.

Partial Payment Plan
The Partial Payment Plan application
is a contract with the University. It is a legal document
and therefore, you must be 18 years old at the time of
the signing. Proof of birth is required; a driver's license,
birth certificate or other legal document showing birth
date is needed. If a student is not 18 years or older,
a parent or legal guardian must co-sign the document. If
a student is 18 years or older, the student must sign the
contract, the parent may not sign for the student.
The Partial Payment Plan application must be made in person
at the Business Office by the end of the 8th day of class.
There is a down payment of $200 (includes a non-refundable
$10 enrollment charge) payable when you sign the agreement.
The remaining balance is divided into two equal payments.
There is a late installment fee of $25 for each payment that
is late. There is no grace period. Interest is charged at
1.25% per month on the outstanding balance after the last
installment payment is due. Withdrawing from the university
does not eliminate your legal financial obligation to pay
the remaining installments.

Financial Aid
If you are receiving financial assistance (including federal
and state financial aid, scholarships, veteran's administration
support, or from other sources), you are responsible for the
timely payment of your fees. New borrowers receiving either
a Stafford Subsidized or Unsubsidized Loan for the first time
at UW-Baraboo/Sauk County must receive entrance loan counseling
before a loan check may be disbursed. Entrance loan counseling
is available via the Internet at www.uwc.edu (select Financial
Aid, and then select Online Loan Entrance Counseling). Financial
aid information is available through the Student Services.
Financial aid awards will be based
on the number of credits in which you are enrolled.
At the time of delivery
of your financial aid the amount of fees owed to the college
will be deducted from the aid you are to receive. You will
receive any balance in the mail. Aid may not be disbursed
to you until after your fees are paid.
If you are a financial aid applicant
who has received a financial aid award letter but your financial
aid will not be available to meet payment deadlines, you may
be eligible for a fee deferment by contacting the Business
Office. You can check your financial aid estimated disbursement
date on your PRISM account.
If you are receiving aid from another campus, you are
responsible for payment of fees at UW-Baraboo/Sauk County.
A consortium agreement will not cause your aid to be used
to make payment of fees at this campus. You are responsible
for making the payment.

Dual Enrollment
If you are enrolled at another University of Wisconsin
campus, your fees may be adjusted depending on the total number
of credits for which you are registered. To receive an adjustment
for which you may be entitled notify the Business Office whenever
you are concurrently enrolled at another UW campus. A copy
of a paid receipt and current class schedule from the other
UW campus(es) will be required to adjust your fees.
Tuition Reimbursement
Many area employers provide support for employees, and
sometimes their family members, to attend college through
tuition support, or tuition reimbursement programs. Although
such programs vary from employer to employer, they include
provisions for partial or full reimbursement for tuition and/or
supplies after a degree credit course has been completed.
Verification of enrollment and an official grade report are
generally required.
Students are encouraged to check with their human resources
department regarding any tuition support programs that may
be available.
