About UW-Baraboo/Sauk County eAlert

eAlert is a campus notification system. Students, faculty and staff will receive alerts in the event of a weather-related campus closing or safety emergency.

eAlerts will automatically be sent to campus email addresses. If you have a cell number listed in PRISM, you will also receive eAlerts via text message. To opt out of eAlert texts, your cell number must be removed in PRISM or changed to “home” or “other.”

The eAlert service is free, but normal short messaging service (SMS) charges from the cellular provider will apply.

Weather Cancellations

In addition to the eAlert notification, when possible, campus-wide cancellations due to weather will be posted on the home page in the upper left "News & Events" section and on the campus Facebook page. That information will also be shared with local media.

In extreme winter weather situations, students and staff are encouraged to keep personal safety in mind when making decisions regarding travel conditions.
