The James A. Schwalbach Gallery The James A. Schwalbach Gallery is named for Professor Emeritus James A. Schwalbach. Professor Schwalbach was a long-time Chairman of the College's Art Department . He developed and produced the WHA radio program "Let's Draw" which was broadcast state-wide for many years, and while with University Extension created many state and local Art Programs.
Professor Schwalbach taught on this campus from 1968 until his retirement in 1976, and received the Governor's Award for his efforts in Art Education. His estate has continued to support the Schwalbach Art Fund that he established within the Friends of the Campus Foundation.
Gallery Hours The Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and shows include both student and professional visiting artist exhibits. Artist receptions are free and open to the public.
