Clubs and Organizations UW-Baraboo/Sauk County offers
a variety of student clubs and organizations for those interested
in enriching their experiences at our university. Involvement
in student organizations provides opportunities to learn more
about areas of interest, become more involved in student life,

Business and Economics Club
The Business and Economics club organizes an annual job
fair and does a variety of fund raisers. The club also takes
field trips to areas of interest to those seeking to enhance
their knowledge of business and economics. Recent trips have
included the Chicago Board of Trade and Tours of the Harley
Davidson Plant, Miller Brewery, and Miller Park in Milwaukee
. The club also provided workshops on topics such as Sauk
County demographics, Stock and Investment workshops and Resume/Cover
Letter workshops.

Dance Team
The Dance Team performs during halftime of the men's basketball
home games and competes in state and national competitions.
If you're interested in dance and can make the commitment
to attend practices, you are encouraged join the Dance Team.

Future Educators
The Future Educators Club brings to students the various
services and support offered by the student Wisconsin Education
Association WEA. The club strives to increase the sharing
of information among students, staff, and faculty of information
relevant to education majors, such as transfer issues and
other information. Additionally the club works to increase
opportunities for education majors to become involved in internships
and/or other applied learning situations.

Green Club
The Green Club is active in increasing awareness of environmental sustainability and stewardship. The Club works closely with the STEM Club to romote lectures and films focused on sustainability. The Club also serves as an advisor to the campus on the Living and Learning Center and other green projects.

Outdoor Club
Outdoor Club plans a wide range of social and educational activities from caving trips and horseback riding, to camping and rock climbing, to cross country skiing. In addition to these events, the Outdoor Club has provided an annual ski trip to the upper peninsula of Michigan over the winter break. These activities are open to all students.

Phi Theta Kappa (Honor Society)
Phi Theta Kappa is an internationally recognized Honor
Society. The group recognizes and encourages academic achievement,
leadership, and service.
Membership in Phi Theta Kappa is the highest academic honor
students can receive at a two-year college.

Art and Photography Club
The Photo Club offers the opportunity to take part in
workshops on camera and darkroom workings and the ability
to use the campus darkroom. The structure and program of the
Club is established by the members.

The Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Club promotes an understanding of careers in these respective disciplines. The Club is active in promoting lectures and films regarding lifelong learning and community service.

Student Government Association
Student Government Association (SGA) is the official representative
and legislative group on campus. SGA works with faculty, staff,
and students on a wide range of campus-specific and system-wide
issues.
SGA also helps develop the annual segregated fee budget, which
funds all co-curricular activities, including varsity and
intramural sports and all other recognized student clubs and
organizations.
SGA Elections
SGA elections are held in the spring for the following academic
year's President, Constitution and Elections Chair, and two
student senators. In the fall, the remaining six seats are
elected. You don't have to be an elected member of SGA to
participate in SGA meetings or activities.

Vintage Spirits
Vintage Spirits is an organization of returning adult
students and others who share concerns-being married, having
children, or other life circumstances which have resulted
in not following a 'traditional' educational path.
Vintage Spirits offers support, as well as a chance to meet
other students. In addition, programs are offered in such
areas as financial aid, wellness, study skills, time management,
and career development.

UWB Ambassadors
UWB Ambassadors are students who are outgoing, congenial,
and want to share their enthusiasm for their campus with others.
They receive training to give campus tours to prospective
students and others who visit the campus, help organize and
participate in special programs where they represent the campus
to the community, and act as orientation assistants
at Campus Connections, a segment of freshman orientation.
Through their service to the campus, they have valuable opportunities
to build public and interpersonal communication and leadership
skills.
